Is it permissible to interrupt the Imam delivering the Friday sermon if he makes a mistake in reciting the Qur’an?

It is prescribed to listen attentively to the preacher on Friday, but it is permissible to speak out of necessity, such as when the preacher asks a question and is answered, or when the preacher asks for something of general benefit for the Muslims. It is also permissible to alert the preacher if he makes a grave error in a verse or hadith (definition) that significantly alters the meaning, provided that it is highly probable he will hear the correction. However, there should be no insistence on correction after the preacher has moved on, nor should there be correction if the error is subtle.
