The answer

The majority of scholars hold that the time for Friday prayer is the same as for Dhuhr prayer, beginning at midday (zawāl ash-shams). Ahmad and Is-haq, however, maintained the validity of Friday prayer before midday, citing the of Abdullah ibn Saydan al-Sulami, which indicated the performance of Friday prayer before midday during the era of Abu Bakr. It is preferable and more cautious to ascertain midday, but there is no harm in offering the prayer a little before that if there is a need.
