Is the Friday Ghusl Sunnah or Fard, and does not performing it invalidate Ghusl Janabah or prayers?

The relied-upon and preponderant opinion within the four schools of thought is that performing (ritual bath) for Jumu'ah (Friday prayer) is (recommended) and not obligatory. Its omission does not lead to sin, invalidate prayers, or invalidate ghusl from (state of ritual impurity); indeed, there is no connection between them. We urge the questioner to combine the ghusl of janabah and the ghusl of Jumu'ah with a single intention to attain the reward for both.
