The answer

There is no objection to a woman breastfeeding her child during the Friday sermon, even if she becomes somewhat preoccupied with him. This is better than the child crying and disturbing the congregants. However, she should avoid speaking to or playing with the child, conceal herself from the sight of other women, ensure the cleanliness of her child's clothes to prevent them from soiling her own, and avoid excessive movement, all while striving to listen attentively to the preacher. This is permissible because the conditions of prayer, such as avoiding impurity, covering one's 'awrah, and ritual purity, are not prerequisites for the Friday sermon. Nevertheless, it is preferable for a woman to pray in her home, as her prayer there is better for her, and she is not obligated to attend Friday prayer by consensus. Therefore, she should pray Dhuhr in her home to avoid potential issues.
