The answer

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, was diligent in observing the regular prayers, which are ten rak'ahs: two rak'ahs before Dhuhr and two after it, two rak'ahs after Maghrib, two rak'ahs after Isha in his home, and two rak'ahs before Fajr. In another narration: and two rak'ahs after Jumu'ah in his home. He used to pray two light rak'ahs when dawn broke.

He encouraged four rak'ahs before Dhuhr and four after it, and four before Asr.

He used to pray four rak'ahs for the Duha prayer and would add as many as Allah willed, and he was diligent in observing the night vigil ( al-Layl).
