Does the prayer of a common worshiper following an Imam become invalid if he adds two prostration of forgetfulness (Sajdat al-Sahw), believing that the Imam has made a mistake, or is he excused due to his ignorance?

The prayer of one who prostrates for forgetfulness out of ignorance is not invalidated, because he is excused. However, his prayer is invalidated if he prostrates knowing the prohibition of adding to the prayer. If he prostrates after the salām, then his prayer is valid in all cases.
