The question

Is the prostration of forgetfulness obligatory for someone who sat for five seconds after prostrating in the third rak'ah, then stood up for the fourth, without forgetting a pillar or an obligatory act? And what is incumbent upon him if he did not prostrate? And does forgetting to say "Rabbi ighfir li" (Lord, forgive me) between the two prostrations necessitate the prostration of forgetfulness? And is the Sunnah to be made up?

The answer

Your prayer with your colleagues is valid, and the five seconds you mentioned have no effect, nor do you need to perform prostration for it. Similarly, forgetting to say: (My Lord, forgive me) between the two prostrations does not invalidate the prayer, though it does necessitate prostration according to the Hanbalis.
