Do expiations for sins and remembrance (dhikr) after prayer, and saying "Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi" (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him) a hundred times, suffice for seeking forgiveness (istighfar), or is it necessary to utter "Astaghfirullah" (I seek forgiveness from Allah) to obtain the reward of seeking forgiveness promised in the hadith: "Whoever adheres to seeking forgiveness, Allah will make for him a way out of every worry and a relief from every difficulty, and will provide for him from where he does not expect"?

Whoever says, "Subhanallah wa bihamdihi" (Glory be to Allah and praise be to Him) one hundred times, his sins will be forgiven, even if they are like the foam of the sea. This glorification does not suffice for seeking forgiveness; for seeking forgiveness is a request for pardon, and it has prescribed formulas.
