How do we repel the wiles of devils, in word and deed?

To protect oneself from Satan, who flows through a human like blood, one must seek refuge with Allah from him, and spit dryly to the left three times when he whispers during prayer. Outside of prayer, one should continuously seek refuge and seek protection for children with Allah's perfect words.

Children should be prevented from going out at the beginning of the night. Doors should be closed, containers covered, and lamps extinguished at night. One should also avoid sleeping with a greasy smell on the hand. Upon waking, one should rinse the nose three times.

It is recommended to consistently recite dhikr, such as saying "There is no god but Allah alone, without partner..." a hundred times, reciting Ayat al-Kursī before sleeping, and Sūrat al-Baqarah in homes to expel Satan, in addition to the dhikr for eating, sleeping, entering the toilet, and entering the home. Indeed, the remembrance of Allah is a strong fortress against Satan.
