The answer

It is not permissible to delay prayer beyond its legally prescribed time for the sake of supplication or obedience to parents, because Allah Almighty says: "Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a book [due at] fixed times." As for delaying it from the beginning of its time and performing it at any part of it before its time expires, this is permissible and there is no harm in it, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Indeed, negligence is only upon one who does not pray until the time for the next prayer comes."
