"The Hadith (definition) concerning Salat al-Tasabih is considered weak by many early imams, such as Ahmad and Tirmidhi. In fact, Ibn al-Jawzi and Ibn Taymiyyah ruled it fabricated due to the weakness of its chains of narration (asanid), the strangeness of its texts (mutun), and its contradiction with the established description of prayer. None of the imams adopted it; rather, Ahmad, Malik, and Abu Hanifa disliked it, and Al-Shafi'i had not even heard of it. Some later scholars, however, deemed it hasan (definition) (good). As for the number of glorifications (tasbihat), some narrations of the hadith mention a brief sitting (jalsat al-istiraha) after the second prostration, in which there are ten glorifications, making the total seventy-five glorifications."
