The answer

Allah revealed the verse of after Umar ibn al-Khattab said to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "Both righteous and wicked people enter upon you, so if only you would command the Mothers of the Believers to observe Hijab." Umar mentioned that he concurred with Allah on three matters, among them his saying to the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, to take the Station of Ibrahim as a place of prayer, his saying to command the Mothers of the Believers to observe Hijab, and his admonishment of some of the Prophet's wives.
