Do a prayer rug and a bed become impure if a child whose pants are dry but smell of urine sits on them, and what is the ruling concerning the impurity of the rest of the place if someone walks on them with their feet?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
The conditions for the transfer of impurity from one contaminated object to another have been clarified. Among them is that if the contaminated object is dry, the impurity does not transfer to the pure objects it comes into contact with. Accordingly, the impurity did not transfer to what the child's trousers touched because the trousers were dry. The foot of someone who walks on this prayer rug does not become impure because it is pure.
