Does the prayer of a worshipper become interrupted by the passing of a menstruating woman or by her sitting next to him, and must it be repeated?

The issue of prayer being interrupted by a woman passing in front of a worshiper is a matter of disagreement. The majority view is that interruption means a reduction in reward. The woman who interrupts the prayer, according to the view of interruption, is an adult, based on the Prophet's (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "If there is nothing in front of him like the back of a saddle, then his prayer is interrupted by a donkey, a woman, and a black dog." The interruption only occurs if the woman passes in front of the worshiper, i.e., between him and his sutrah (barrier) or his place of prostration.
