The question

Is it permissible to pray in a Zawiya called "Al-Zawiya Al-Qadiriyah Al-Muhammadiyah," where the Holy Quran is taught, knowing there is a spacious mosque inside it, and it follows the Sunnah and the Book of Allah, and its program includes the remembrance of Allah, learning the Quran, memorizing Hadith, and praising the Prophet?

The answer

There is no objection to praying in the Zawiya (Sufi lodge) due to the saying of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: "The earth has been made for me a place of prostration and a means of purification. Wherever prayer overtakes me, I wipe myself and pray." It is obligatory to adhere to the and follow it. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned against exaggeration and excessiveness in praising him, saying: "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians exaggerated in praising Jesus son of Mary. I am only a slave, so say: 'Allah's slave and His Messenger.'"
