Is the prayer of one who carries blood or urine samples into the mosque valid, out of fear of losing them and eagerness to perform the prayer on time?
For the prayer to be valid, the body, clothes, and place must be pure. Therefore, it is not permissible to carry a bottle or tube containing blood or urine during prayer, because blood and urine are impure. Carrying such impurities invalidates the prayer according to the majority of scholars. However, if the worshipper carries the sample out of forgetfulness or ignorance, then his prayer is valid according to the preponderant opinion, because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did not restart his prayer when Jibreel informed him of the presence of filth on his sandals. As for placing the sample on the ground near the worshipper, its presence on the worshipper's prayer rug does not harm the prayer, nor does it invalidate it.
