The answer

Covering the head during prayer is desirable for one who beautifies himself with it and completes his appearance and adornment. This is particularly emphasized for the Imam, in accordance with the words of Allah Almighty: "O Children of Adam, take your adornment at every Masjid (place of prayer)." For someone for whom it is not considered an adornment or a custom, it is not required of him. The narrations mentioned regarding the virtue of praying with a turban have no basis.
