What is the ruling on sitting and praying in a place that is presumed to be dry, but where there is a suspicion that the impurity of urine may have transferred to it from a child's clothes from which the smell of urine emanated?

Obsessive doubts () begin with these matters, and the more one indulges them, the more entrenched they become. We advise you to cut off these thoughts and not to dwell on them. The fundamental principle regarding things is purity (tahara), and one does not deviate from this principle except with certainty. A ritually impure (najis) body, if dry, does not transfer its impurity to anything dry it touches. The child's clothes are not impure to begin with, and even if they were, they are dry and the carpet is dry, so no impurity is transferred. Your prayer in this place is valid.
