When is the supplication for going to the mosque recited?

The supplication for going to the mosque is recited upon leaving the house. This is indicated by what was reported in Muslim on the authority of Ibn Abbas, may Allah be pleased with both of them, that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, went out for prayer while saying: "O Allah, place light in my heart..."
