The question

Is it permissible to combine the Dhuhr and Asr prayers, either by advancing or delaying them, due to compulsory university attendance and the impossibility of praying inside the university given its Christian nature, and which is better: praying Asr at the end of its time or combining it with Dhuhr by advancing it?

The answer

"Studying is not an excuse for a resident to combine prayers, even if the university or region is predominantly Christian, and shyness is not an excuse. Whoever cannot perform prayer due to studying must leave the university. Combining two prayers for a resident is permissible in cases of extreme necessity, provided it does not become a habit, based on the of Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both). A group of imams have held the view that combining prayers while at home is permissible out of need, not for someone who makes it a habit. Delaying the Asr prayer until its time of yellowing (just before sunset) is permissible out of necessity, and it is better than combining it with Dhuhr for a student."
