If the question is about voluntary prayers, it is recommended to maintain ten rak'ahs of the (supererogatory) prayers: two rak'ahs before Dhuhr and two after it, two after Maghrib, two after 'Isha, and two before Fajr. It is even better if one prays four rak'ahs before Dhuhr. Among the non-Sunnah (non-regular) voluntary prayers, it is recommended to maintain Witr, Tahiyyat al-Masjid (greeting the mosque prayer), Salat al-Kusuf (eclipse prayer), the Eid prayers, Duha (forenoon prayer), and (prayer for guidance).
