Do the secretions that are discharged after waking up from sleep, or after feeling a yellow liquid with an odor discharged, necessitate Ghusl, and is it a condition to feel the discharge of semen for it to be considered semen?

The fatwa (definition) clarified that the distinguishing characteristic between a woman's maniy (seminal fluid) and madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) is that maniy exits in gushes with pleasure, followed by a weakening of the body, whereas madhiy exits upon thought or foreplay. A woman's maniy is thin and yellow. As for discharges that exit without a cause: if they are white, they are normal vaginal secretions (rutubat farj) that are pure but invalidate wudu. If they are yellow, then istinja (definition)' (cleansing) is obligatory from them, and wudu' for prayer, if they exit outside of the menstrual period; otherwise, they are menstruation. The exit of maniy, which necessitates ghusl (definition) (ritual bath), is not confirmed except with certainty. In case of doubt about the exiting fluid, the person is given the choice in determining its ruling.
