If the questioner ascertains that what exited her during sleep was maniyy (seminal fluid), then (ritual bath) is obligatory upon her. If she ascertains it was madhy (pre-seminal fluid), then she must purify whatever it touched of her body and clothing, and perform wudu' (ablution). If she is doubtful, she has the choice to consider it either of the two, which is the view of the Shafi'is and the mufta bihi (the relied-upon opinion for issuing fatwas).
