The question

Does immersing oneself in a river to cover the entire body with water equate to showering in terms of the sufficiency of ghusl (ritual bathing)? And is wudu' (ablution) sufficient in place of ghusl for someone who wakes up late for Fajr prayer and does not have time to perform ghusl, so that they can perform the prayers with wudu' until ghusl becomes possible for them? And is it permissible for them to pray in the mosque or individually? And is it permissible to pray after rinsing with water from the shower without performing the sunan (recommended acts) of wudu'? And is ghusl obligatory for the wife if ejaculation touches her body without penetration?

The answer

Anything beyond these actions of ghusl falls under the category of (prophetic tradition) and does not affect the validity of the ghusl. So, whoever makes the intention for ghusl and makes water cover all the outer parts of their body has fulfilled their obligation regarding ghusl. It is obligatory to ensure water reaches all hidden folds of the body, such as between the thighs, the buttocks, under the armpits, and the navel.
