The answer

Scholars have differed regarding the meaning of the : "Satan urinated in his ear." Some have taken it literally, citing that Satan eats, drinks, and marries. Others have interpreted it metaphorically and figuratively. It has been said that it is a metaphor for Satan blocking the sleeper's ear from prayer, or filling his ear with falsehoods, or Satan despising him, or Satan overpowering him, or likening the heaviness of sleep to the heaviness of urine in the ear. According to the view that Satan's urine is real, it is not obligatory to purify it, and some scholars have held the view that the jinn's urine is pure. The intent of the Hadith is to deter one from missing the Fajr prayer.
