Is ghusl required after plucking the armpits and using the restroom, and are all other things that necessitate ghusl not obligatory?
There is no contradiction between the obligatory reasons for (ritual bath) and what is mentioned in the about recommended ghusl, such as ghusl after plucking armpit hair, shaving pubic hair, entering a public bath, cupping (hijama), washing a deceased person, and the Friday ghusl, concerning which there is a difference of opinion regarding its obligation or recommendation. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used to perform ghusl for four reasons: (ritual impurity due to sexual activity), on Friday, after cupping, and after washing a deceased person. Ghusl for janabah is obligatory, while ghusl for Friday, after cupping, and after washing a deceased person is recommended.
