Is he required to wash the penis and testicles with the intention of purification from madhy (pre-seminal fluid) as a precaution before performing ghusl for janabah (major ritual impurity) for someone from whom madhy was discharged, then semen? And does ghusl for janabah purify from madhy without washing the penis and testicles beforehand? And is intention a condition for purification from madhy according to those who deem washing the penis and testicles obligatory?

The madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) becomes pure when it is washed along with the ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) of janabah (definition) (state of ritual impurity requiring ghusl), provided its substance is removed with the same wash. According to the more correct opinion among the Shafi'is, it is not a condition to wash it before performing ghusl. Some scholars hold the view that it is obligatory to have the intention (niyyah (definition)) when washing the penis and testicles from madhiy, because it is an act of worship.
