The answer

If "direct contact" means sexual intercourse after the cessation of menstruation and the wife's ritual bath (), then there is no sin. However, if it occurs after the cessation of menstruation but before the ritual bath, it is forbidden, and repentance () and seeking forgiveness (istighfar) are obligatory. If "direct contact" does not mean sexual intercourse, then it is permissible even with the presence of menstrual blood. For inquiries about physical harms, please refer to the consultation section.
