Is it permissible for a man to enter upon a bride and groom on their wedding night?

It is permissible for a man to be with more than one wife in a single night, and the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, did this. He would visit his wives with a single ghusl (definition) (ritual bath), and he would perform ghusl after each one, as that is purer, better, and cleaner. It is sunnah (definition) for one who wishes to resume intercourse to wash his private parts and perform wudu' (ablution). As for the division of nights, the sunnah is to allocate seven nights for a virgin bride and three nights for a non-virgin, then to return to equitable division among the wives. The consent of both wives is necessary if they share a turn. Jurists have differed on the ruling of having intercourse with one wife during another's turn. It is not permissible to have two wives in one bed, even without intercourse.
