Is the prayer of my grandmother, who did not pray then repented and prayed two obligatory prayers and two rak'ahs of repentance before falling into a coma, accepted Islamically, given that she did not perform the ghusl (ritual bath) for entering Islam after her repentance, and does the rule of overlooking error and forgetfulness apply to her, or does her lack of knowledge of the obligation of ghusl not exempt her from the invalidity of her prayer due to the availability of means of knowledge?

The fatwa (definition) we adopt is that an apostate is not required to perform ghusl (definition) unless something necessitates it during their apostasy. As for the one who abandons prayer, they do not commit an act of disbelief that expels them from the faith. Therefore, if the grandmother repents from abandoning prayer and prays before her passing, it is hoped that her repentance will be accepted and that she will have a good ending. It is also recommended to supplicate for her well-being, a good ending, and forgiveness from Allah.
