Must a woman recite the supplication for intercourse and perform ablution before repeating intercourse, as is required of a man?
Source: FtawySummarized from the full answer at Ftawy · imported Sep 2, 2026
The supplication before intercourse is prescribed for the man, and there is no harm if the woman also says it.
It is for the man, if he has intercourse with his wife and wishes to repeat it, to perform ablution (wudu') between the two acts. Performing (full ritual bath) is more complete. His ablution is the same as the ablution for prayer.
If he repeats intercourse without ghusl or wudu', it is permissible, but they should not sleep except in one of the two states of ritual purity.
This sunnah is specific to the man.
