What are the rulings resulting from whisperings (waswas) about the Holy Qur’an that led to a gesture signifying disapproval and rejection of it, and what are the consequences of repentance, seeking forgiveness, performing ghusl (ritual bath), and reciting the Two Testimonies (Shahadatayn) thereafter?

Thoughts and obsessions that cross one's mind are forgiven unless a person speaks them or acts upon them. They are a sign of the completeness of faith if they relate to matters of creed. As for what was issued regarding the contempt of the Mushaf (definition) (Qur'an), it is disbelief, but sincere repentance obliterates what preceded it. The questioner should increase in the remembrance of Allah, occupy himself with what benefits him, and not dwell on inner thoughts. If he finds anything related to creed, he should say: "I believe in Allah."
