The question

What is a wet dream (ihtilam)? Is merely talking about lust in a dream considered a wet dream accompanied by semen? What is the ruling on the viscous white fluid observed after waking up? What is incumbent upon a woman if she experiences wet dreams daily, especially when reciting Ruqyah (Islamic exorcism), and it is accompanied by the emission of semen? And what can she do to avoid repeated ghusl (ritual purification bath)?

The answer

You are afflicted with (obsessive doubts) in this matter. You are not required to perform (ritual bath) unless you are absolutely certain that semen, which necessitates ghusl, has been discharged, and this is by its distinct signs. However, if there is doubt, ghusl is not obligatory for you. As for a wet dream, it is seeing something related to sexual intercourse. Ghusl is not obligatory merely by having a wet dream unless there is certainty of semen discharge. The discharge of semen is what is considered for the obligation of ghusl.
