What is required of me after having intercourse with my wife, who had performed ghusl after menstruation but forgot to remove her nail polish?

The correct position is that it is not permissible to have intercourse with one's wife before she has performed ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) after menstruation or postpartum bleeding. Nail polish prevents water from reaching the nail, so the wife must repeat the ghusl after removing the polish, and she must repeat the prayers she performed with that incomplete ghusl. There is no sin upon the spouses for the intercourse that occurred due to their error regarding the validity of the ghusl, based on the Almighty's saying: "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred," and the Prophet's (peace be upon him) saying: "Indeed, Allah has overlooked for my Ummah (nation) their mistakes, their forgetfulness, and what they are forced to do."
