What is the ruling on a devil of the jinn having intercourse with a Muslim woman in her sleep, and what are the implications in terms of ghusl and sin, and what should she do about it?

Sexual intercourse can occur between humans and jinn. There is no sin upon one who is forced into intercourse. The sensation of intercourse with a jinn occurs in three situations:

1. During sleep: Ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) is not obligatory unless semen is seen. It could be merely a dream. 2. A jinn appearing in human form while awake: Ghusl is obligatory due to the occurrence of intercourse. 3. Feeling intercourse while awake without seeing the one performing it: If semen is seen: Ghusl is obligatory. If semen is not seen: Scholars have differed. The majority of them (Hanbalis, Shafi'is, and Malikis) hold that Ghusl is obligatory, citing the verse: {Whom no man or jinn has touched before them} [Ar-Rahman: 56]. The Hanafis, however, are of the view that Ghusl is not obligatory unless the jinn appears in human form or semen is discharged.
