What is the ruling on one who performs ghusl with the intention of uttering the Two Testimonies (Shahadatayn), repenting from abandoning prayer, and removing both major and minor ritual impurity?

A single ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) is sufficient for multiple ritual impurities if one intends to remove one of them, as all of them will then be removed. Apostasy (riddah) is considered an impurity according to the Hanbalis. Therefore, if an apostate performs a single ghusl intending it for all those impurities, it is sufficient. Moreover, according to the Hanbalis, the ghusl of embracing Islam is sufficient for impurities that occurred during the state of disbelief. Ghusl is not a condition for the validity of an apostate's return to Islam.
