What is the ruling on semen discharge due to masturbation, and the ruling on feeling its discharge in a wet dream then preventing it? Is ghusl (ritual bath) obligatory in both cases? And what is the ruling on purifying clothes and the ground if some semen gets on them?

Assisting a man in extracting semen (maniy) through masturbation is forbidden and requires repentance. If masturbation results in the emission of semen, then (ritual bath) becomes obligatory for prayer. Semen is pure, and it is not obligatory to wash clothes stained with it. However, if semen moves but is not emitted, scholars have differed regarding the obligation of ghusl. The preponderant opinion is that ghusl is not obligatory when it is not emitted, as there is no cause for ghusl. We advise against suppressing it due to its harm.
