Will my prayers be accepted after repenting from abandoning them, and is it necessary for me to perform ghusl and utter the two testimonies (Shahadatayn) to embrace Islam after learning that whoever abandons prayer is a disbeliever?

According to the view that considers the one who abandons prayer to be a disbeliever, his prayer is considered a repentance for him, and he is not required to utter the two testimonies (Shahadatayn). Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen, may Allah have mercy on him, was asked about a repentant individual who had abandoned prayer, and whether he was required to perform ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) and utter the two testimonies. He replied that he should perform ghusl because he repented from disbelief, but there is no need to utter the two testimonies because he already affirms them. He added that the prayer of one who had abandoned it is a repentance for him and makes him a Muslim.
