What is the ruling on speaking in the lavatory?

It is disliked to speak while relieving oneself, except for a benefit, due to the prohibition of conversing over excrement. So, if one sneezes, he should praise Allah in his heart only. If he speaks but does not hear himself, there is no dislike.
