The question

What is the ruling on performing ghusl for janabah or menstruation while a contraceptive patch (Evra) is on the skin, knowing that if it is removed and then reapplied, it causes an increase in hormones? And if it is not permissible, what is the ruling on the prayers that were performed previously?

The answer

The use of contraceptives is forbidden except in cases of legitimate necessity. When performing (ritual bath) after (state of ritual impurity), water must be circulated over the entire body. If a wound dressing is applied without necessity, it must be removed to allow water to reach the skin beneath. However, if its removal would cause harm, then it is permissible to wipe over it. There is no need to make up missed prayers due to the dressing. It is important to note that these dressings may pose health risks, the safety of which has not yet been definitively proven.
