What is the ruling on performing ghusl (ritual bath) after menstruation when there is a wound on the breast that requires it not to be exposed to water for a week, knowing that ritual purity will be attained after two days? And what is the ruling on fasting after attaining purity in this situation?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
A woman performs (ritual bath) after she becomes pure from menstruation. She washes her entire body except for her breast if she fears harm by washing it, based on a doctor's advice. If it is possible to wipe over it, she should wipe. If wiping is not possible, she performs (dry ablution) for it. Thus, she combines ghusl and tayammum. It is obligatory for her to fast if she becomes pure before the time of Fajr enters; she should perform ghusl, pray, and fast.
