What exits from the fluid may be semen (maniyy), pre-seminal fluid (madhiy), or post-urination fluid (wadiyy). Ritual bathing () is obligatory if the person is certain that the fluid is semen. However, if there is doubt, the person has a choice and can assign it the ruling of whatever he wishes.
