What are the Sunnah acts of Wudu (ablution)?

The Sunan (recommended acts) of Wudu' are: uttering "Bismillah" before it, using the Miswak (tooth-stick), washing the hands three times at the beginning, rinsing the mouth (madmadah), sniffing water into the nose (istishaaq) three times, running fingers through the beard and between the fingers, washing the limbs three times, starting with the right side, performing acts consecutively (al-muwalat), wiping the ears, being economical with water, and supplicating after it. There is some scholarly disagreement regarding whether some of these are obligatory or merely sunnah (definition).
