When does Waddiy discharge after urination, and how does a woman differentiate it from vaginal discharge?
Source: FtawySummary from Ftawy's records · added here Sep 2, 2026
Al-Wadi: A thick, white fluid that often exits after or before urination. Scholars have unanimously agreed that it does not necessitate (ritual bath) but rather wudu (ablution). Its ruling is similar to that of urine regarding the necessity of purifying clothes it soils.
Al-Wadi differs from vaginal discharge in that it is thick, white, somewhat turbid, and exits after or before urination. Vaginal discharge nullifies wudu, and its purity or impurity varies depending on its exit point: if it exits from the bladder, it is impure; if it exits from the uterus, it is pure.
