Ibn 'Uthaymeen said that the reason for this is the presence of Ayatul-Kursi within it. Another Hadith mentions the virtue of reciting the last two verses of Surat Al-Baqarah, and that they suffice for whoever recites them in a night, and they expel Satan from the dwelling for three nights. It was said that they suffice him from Al-Layl (night prayer), or from Satan, or from calamities.
