Is the objection of one or two individuals—one of whom is the mosque's president—to the imamate of a person who has memorized seven parts of the Quran and has knowledge of the Fiqh of worship, on the pretext of his weak Tajwid, sufficient to apply the Hadith "and an Imam who leads people while they dislike him"?

Muslim narrates from Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "The one who is most proficient in reciting the Book of Allah should lead the people in prayer..." (Hadith (definition)). The most proficient (al-aqra') is the one who has memorized the most and recites best. If you are equal in recitation with another person, then the one who is most knowledgeable of the Sunnah (definition) is given precedence. If you have memorized more and recite better and more correctly than others, then you have more right to lead the prayer. It is disliked for a man to lead a people who genuinely dislike him, such as due to a flaw in his religious practice. However, if their dislike stems from his adherence to the Sunnah, then there is no dislike in his leading the prayer.
