What is the minimum daily portion of the Quran, and is reading 20 verses daily considered abandoning it, and is it obligatory to complete the entire Quran monthly?

Reciting the Qur’an is desirable outside of prayer, and only the recitation of Al-Fatiha is obligatory within prayer. It is desirable to recite the Qur’an frequently. It is disliked to delay completing the recitation of the Qur’an for more than forty days without a valid excuse, because that may lead to forgetting it and becoming negligent about it. Therefore, a Muslim should set a daily portion for themselves such that the period of completion does not exceed forty days. If one can complete it in less time, that is good, but it should not be completed in less than three days. And the most beloved deeds to Allah are those that are continuous, even if they are few.
