What is the ruling on reciting part of a Surah in the first Raka’ah, then skipping some verses, and reciting the remainder of the Surah in the second Raka’ah?

The preferred practice in the two rak'ahs of prayer is to maintain order and succession between the verses or surahs. The basic act of desirability is achieved by reciting any part of the Qur'an, but reciting a complete surah (definition) is better. The Sunnah (definition) is for the worshipper to recite according to the order of the Mushaf (definition), in succession. It is permissible for the worshipper to recite whatever he wishes, even if it deviates from the order of the Mushaf, and there is no sin upon him. Indeed, it has been authentically reported from the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, that he recited verses out of the Mushaf's order and from different surahs.
