What is the ruling on touching the Mus'haf without ablution, and does the cover of the Mus'haf count as a barrier? What if one enters the restroom inadvertently with a Mus'haf in their pocket? What is the ruling on touching an educational book that contains Qur'anic verses, such as books of Tafsir? Does a paper or wall on which Qur'anic verses are written take the same ruling as the Mus'haf, such that it is not permissible to touch it without ablution?

Some Hanafis held that it is permissible for a person in a state of major ritual impurity to touch the cover of the and its blank spaces, but the correct view is that it is forbidden.
