Is it permissible to invite people to join a mixed-gender charity, and does the inviter bear the sin of those who commit acts of disobedience within it?

Charitable work, like other activities, should involve men and women separately, avoiding mixing as much as possible. It is permissible for women and men to meet out of necessity, provided women adhere to the hijab (definition), do not speak enticingly, and limit their communication to what is essential. Joking or softening the voice is prohibited due to the fear of temptation. The Hadith (definition) states: "I have not left behind me any trial more harmful to men than women," and "Beware of the world and beware of women, for the first trial of the Children of Israel was concerning women." Mixing is forbidden if it involves seclusion, lustful gazing, or immodest display by the woman. It is permissible when there is a legitimate need, provided the rules of Sharia (definition) are observed. The guardian (Wali al-Amr) must prevent the mixing of men and women in markets and gatherings, because enabling women to mix with men is the root of every calamity and evil, and it leads to an increase in immoralities and fornication. Young people should not be directed to associations where unlawful mixing is prevalent. The people of the association should be invited to rectify their situation, and if they do not respond, then it is obligatory to refrain from directing young people to them, because warding off harms takes precedence over achieving benefits.
